i-drop(r) is easy to implement for samples and small numbers of drawings. It's a simple matter of creating HTML objects and linking them to the drawing and image files.

i-drop can also be extended to other applications: Parts lists or cost data can be linked to Excel, specification sheets linked to Adobe Acrobat; many applications are idrop-aware.

The key requirements for successful i-drop implementation are legible and consistent thumbnail images, and organization of drawing files. Users without the i-drop plugin will see 'proxy' images in place of the idrop object.
